Occupational Therapy with Soph was founded by me, Soph - a Paediatric OT and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Clinician.
I have experience working in disability, specialist schools, school systems, private practice, and mental health sectors.
Working in both disability and mental health started a fire in me about supporting the dual disability space, where there is often a gap between services. This is something I'm passionate about, and it often flows through into the resources I create, ensuring that they cater to a wide range of needs and abilities. Let's work together to bridge the gap and create an inclusive environment for all! 🤝
Kids know me best as the "feelings and friendship" teacher or sometimes the lady with the puppets 🎭.
Adults know me for creating creative, fun, and engaging resources 🎨.
However, what is lesser-known about me is that I love adventuring in snow-topped mountains🏂❄️.

I started "OT with Soph" at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was working at a specialist school and was sadly no longer able to see most of my students face-to-face.
I began thinking of ways that students could continue to work on their goals at home, and I searched the internet high and low trying to find helpful resources that would be suitable for children with a range of abilities. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything.
So, I started creating resources for my clients and students, and I loved it! It warms my heart to know that one resource can be used hundreds of times and help hundreds of children. It really is an honour to be able to do this.

You can expect high-quality resources with engaging visuals, simple language, and adaptability from me
From my clinical experience, I understand that in a classroom (or therapy room), students can have a range of abilities and interests. Therefore, I try to make resources adaptable so that you can tailor them to suit your students' or clients' needs.
I also know from experience that using games and play is an excellent way to engage students and support them in developing their skills. Therefore, many of my resources use games and play!
I also understand the frustration of purchasing resources that seem unusable or confusing. Therefore, "OT with Soph" resources provide clear, concise instructions and are easy to implement in the therapy room or classroom. No caffeine required! ☕️
So, that's all for now! If you have any questions or just want to say hi, feel free to drop me a message. I'd love to hear from you! 🤗
Until next time, stay curious and keep learning! ✨
